Ron Guidry’s career highlights include winning the American League Cy Young Award in 1978, a year in which he posted an impressive 25-3 record with a 1.74 ERA and 248 strikeouts2. He was a four-time All-Star and won five Gold Glove Awards. Guidry was also a key player in the Yankees’ World Series victories in 1977 and 1978.
